Help Desk Technician - Part Time

Access Development is seeking a confident, top class Help Desk Technician to be a part of our Salt Lake City office. As a Help Desk Technician, you will work to support and troubleshoot the daily software and hardware needs across the business. Qualified applicants should possess excellent communication skills, demonstrated troubleshooting skills, and be highly task oriented.

This is a part-time entry level position with growth potential for a results-driven individual.

As a part-time help desk technician, you will be working with multiple teams, have a solid base pay, very cool employee benefits, including nationwide employee discounts.  This position is a great resume builder, flexible part-time opportunity Monday -Friday, approximately 20-25 hours a week where you can set your own hours per week schedule in our Salt Lake City office.  No weekends, ever!

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide frontline IT support for all corporate systems and end-users through phone, email, and tickets
  • Work 4 hour shifts to ensure support coverage during regular business hours
  • Reliable attendance
  • Adhere to all company policies
  • Maintain a positive, upbeat, “can-do” attitude

Desktop Support

  • Ensures that all corporate desktops are functional, reliable, up to date, and adhere to the corporate desktop standard
  • Adheres to all security policies and maintains compliance with all software licensing

Phone Systems

  • Primary support for day to day operations of the Shoretel phone system, including call center agent needs

Conference Rooms/AV Support

  • Support all corporate conference rooms, event center, and audio visual equipment

Technical Competencies

Operating Systems

  • Has a demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, from Windows 7 to 10.

Applications

  • Stays proficient in the common applications used by end-users to support the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of programs used in the day-to-day operations of Access employees.

Remote Users

  • Has a working knowledge of remote customer service setup, specifically basic VPN network comprehension.

Networking

  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Has a working knowledge of wireless technologies and how to support them in a corporate environment.

Printers/File Serving

  • Has a working knowledge of printer and printer support. Has a working knowledge of file serving/sharing and support.

Phone System/Phone Applications

  • Has a working knowledge of the Shoretel phone system. Has advanced knowledge of all ShoreTel, Call Copy, Shoreware Director, Client/Agent Toolbar and Call Center applications.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, from Windows 7 to 10
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong teamwork, decision-making, documentation, and analytical skills
  • Able to learn new technologies quickly
