Senior Software Engineer

Access is looking for top-notch Java/Scala software engineers to join a fun and relaxed team as they create very cool software products used by millions of people.

The Senior Software Engineer is involved in the design, architecture and development of REST API micro-services, web applications, and other software solutions used by Access Development clients as well as our employees.

What is it like working at Access Development?

Risks are tackled up front through discovery (interviews, prototypes, etc.), prior to building anything.  This includes value risk: whether people will buy it; usability risk: can people figure out how to use it; feasibility risk: can our team build it with the time, skills and technology we have; and business risk: does this solution work for the various aspects of our business.

Product managers, designers, engineering and QA work side-by-side, in a give and take, to come up with technology powered solutions that our customers love, and that work for our business.

Finally, we focus on solving problems, not implementing features.  We know that it’s not only about implementing a solution, we must ensure that the solution solves the underlying problem.  We learn how we’re doing from our customers, based on usage, to validate our assumptions and to dictate next steps.  It’s all about results.

This position is based in our Salt Lake City office.

Work with small, cross-functional, and co-located (sit together) teams to architect, design and implement high quality software solutions.
